Use and Storage – Raw papaya has a shelf life of upto 3 days after getting plucked from the tree as gradually ripening process starts and it turns softer and gets slightly sweet taste. Therefore eat it raw and crisp without storing it much.

Shelf Life is upto 3 days outside refrigeration. You can increase its shelf life by another 2 days by keeping it in refrigerator.
